All Time Low Gig

A month ago I went and saw All Time Low at 02 Brixton Academy, All Time Low is one of my favourite bands and earlier in to the course I researched in to there history. The gig was amazing because the band played their best songs and they interacted with the crowd greatly. I was surprised during the acoustic part of the set that they played Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. I loved there version as they made it there own because they used different instruments to the original, this made the song seem more personal and heartfelt than the original. I recommend All Time Low to any audience because they have an excellent stage presence and all of there songs are enjoyable to matter who the audience is.

Below is a video to All Time Low performing Teenage Dream at the same gig I went to.

Enrique Iglesias Concert

I recently went to the o2 to see an Enrique Iglesias concert, the show was amazing and he sang all of his well known songs. I loved that Enrique interacted with the crowd, although some of the audience said that he should of spent less time talking. My favourite songs that he performed was 'Hero' and his new song 'Tonight'. I researched in to other reviews of this concert, the following extract is taken from Ticketmaster (http://reviews.ticketmaster.co.uk/7171-en_gb/777945/enrique-iglesias-reviews/reviews.htm), "He is as good live as his recordings and as well as being drop dead gorgeous he seems to be a friendly, nice guy. His energy is amazing and its plain to see that he is truly passionate about what he does. I love the spanish element of his music and it was great hearing and seeing that played live. The audience were fantastic and a real mixture of people which I thought was great, especially when Enrique came out to sing at the end and everyone went mad." I would recommend anyone to go and watch Enrique Iglesias because he is an excellent performer and he interacted with the crowd magnificently.

Below is a video some one took from the concert of Enrique Iglesias performing 'Hero'.

Linkin Park Concert

I recently went to a Linkin Park concert on Thursday 11th November 2010 at London O2 Arena. I had never been to one of their concerts before and I strongly recommend their concerts as they were excellent live. For me one of the best elements to the show was the crowds atmosphere as the people who were standing were always jumping. I was intrigued by the stage design as it was a triangle shape after the show I realised it could represent Jay Z's logo because they created an album together and they are close friends. I really liked the stage lighting that the band used for example, during Shadow of the Day which is a slower song blue and grey lighting was used to portray the relaxing sound. When the band got in to the choruses of the songs bright lighting was used to present the loud beat.
I definitely recommend Linkin Park as they had an amazing stage presence because they interacted with the crowd. Below I created a montage of the journey to the O2, the concert and the reactions to the concert, the songs I have used were my favourite songs from the night.

Katy Perry at Capital Radios Summertime Ball

In the summer of 2009 I went to Capital Radios Summertime Ball, the concert was at the Emerates Stadium which is home to the Arsenal football team.

Katy Perry was the first act to perform, she was one of my favourite artists who performed on the day because she interacted with the crowd and her vocals were brilliant.
When I saw her in 2009 she performed songs from her second album such as I Kissed A Girl which was the last song because the song reached the number 1 in the United Kingdom. According to Offical UK Charts Company the song sold over 535,000 copies in the United Kingdom, it was also the first Virgin label single to sell more than half a million copies since the Spice Girl's- Goodbye (1998). Also, she performed Waking Up In Vegas, Thinking of You and Hot N Cold which was the opening song. I took these photographs are from Capital Radios Summertime Ball showing the Emerates Stadium, the stage when Katy Perry was performing and Katy Perry on the screen.
From seeing Katy Perry live I know that she is a good performer because she keeps the audience entertained, through the whole set she ran along the stage to make everyone be able to see her.
Also, her style has changed from 2009 in comparison to 2010, in 2009 she wore a red and white polka dot play suit which is quirky and fashionable during this time but now in 2010 she wears flamboyent and sophisticated clothing.
This is a video that some one recorded at the Summertime Ball performing I Kissed A Girl, I found this video on Youtube.
